Many critics have proclaimed that earning a liberal arts major is useless with today’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) focus. It’s popularly believed that studying English, philosophy, history, and other liberal arts leads directly to the unemployment line. This notion is false though because a liberal arts education can provide tremendous value. Bachelor of Liberal Arts programs develop well-read professionals with essential rhetorical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
