If you do not know where you hope to find employment after graduation, then the type of counseling program accreditation is not such a straightforward choice.
At this point in your journey, just know that accreditation is always preferable to a lack of it. In fact, many states will not allow licensure with an unaccredited degree. But, if you are seeking to further your education and are already in the field of psychology, then it may not always be necessary.
